Maria-Consuelo Gonzalez is an experienced, compassionate healer and emotional intuitive. Consuelo's clear sensing abilities and skills as
an extremely accurate "body reader" allow her to follow, from moment to
moment, the energetic and emotional journey of each client during a
session. A soulfully attentive and supportive witness, she uses gentle,
non-directive language to guide her clients to the places inside
themselves where truth and healing can unfold.
Consuelo's healing work, Inner Listening, is rooted in her understanding of the profound connections between emotional, physical,
creative, and spiritual energy. This awareness first arose in her early
childhood, when she became fascinated with the healing potential of
movement, expression, and compassionate presence. Consuelo began to
lose her hearing at age 4, and by age 8 was profoundly deaf. Her
growing reliance on her visual and intuitive perception only served to
heighten her already keen observational skills. At the age of 17, she
experienced an intense spiritual awakening which left her with an even
deeper "knowing" of how energy, creativity, and spirituality are
linked.
Consuelo has continued to explore these connections for over 20 years, both in her own personal healing work, and in her professional life. She has
extensive experience studying and practicing the expressive movement arts
and therapies, including Laban Movement Analysis, Contemplative Dance,
Authentic Movement, Contact Improvisation, and Skinner Releasing Technique
(certified instructor). She spent seven years of ongoing practice in a
movement improvisation workshop, refining both solo and group improvisation
techniques. As a performer, choreographer, and director, Consuelo has been
involved with movement theater and dance since childhood. Much of her
creative work explores themes of healing and spiritual transformation, and
she often experiences performing as a moving meditation or prayer.
Consuelo was a professional massage therapist for 15 years, and has
studied many bodywork therapies, including traditional massage, energy
healing, and other touch modalities. Her years of education and
hands-on experience give her an in-depth understanding of anatomy,
physiology, and the physical forms of disease and wellness. Although
she no longer practices bodywork, her knowledge in this area enables
her to help her clients draw clear connections between their physical
sensations and symptoms, and their emotions.
Consuelo's years of experience and deep knowledge of the healing power of
movement, imagery, and the voice make her an excellent guide for those
seeking emotional healing and transformation. |
